Do you remember 21 April 2023?
To the world,
it was just another day.
But for me,
it became the day my life changed.
Because on that day,
a girl slowly became my favourite person.
A person I wanted to talk to every day.
A person whose messages could instantly change my mood.
A person who would eventually become
a part of almost every dream I had for the future.
As time passed,
we created our own little world.
A world filled with late-night conversations,
random fights,
stupid arguments,
inside jokes,
countless memories,
and moments that I'll carry with me forever.
Some days were beautiful.
Some days were difficult.
And if I'm being honest,
there were days when I failed you.
Days when you wanted my time,
but I was busy.
Days when you wanted to be heard,
but I didn't listen properly.
Days when you needed reassurance,
but I assumed you already knew.
Days when you simply wanted effort,
but I gave excuses instead.
Looking back now,
I realise something important.
You never wanted perfection.
You never asked me to be rich.
You never asked me to move mountains.
You only wanted to feel loved,
valued,
heard,
and chosen.
And I'm sorry for every moment
when I made you feel otherwise.
